Shipping Guide

Plan the shipment before production ends.

Freight cost is only one part of delivery. Packing, volume, Incoterms, documents, customs and destination charges must use the same assumptions.

01

Confirm packing data

Carton quantity, carton dimensions, gross weight and total volume affect freight. Preliminary estimates should be replaced with final packing data before booking.

02

Choose the right mode

Courier, air, rail and sea freight serve different priorities. Compare transit time, chargeable weight, shipment size, destination and handling requirements.

03

Define the Incoterm

EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP and DDP do not include the same responsibilities or costs. The quotation must state the agreed Incoterm and named place.

04

Prepare documents

Commercial invoices, packing lists, transport documents and product-specific documents must match the actual transaction. Requirements vary by country and product.

05

Review customs and tax

Classification, declared value, duties, taxes and import restrictions are destination-specific. Buyers or their appointed broker should confirm local compliance.

06

Separate cost lines

CredoEXP can coordinate product, service, freight and destination assumptions, but each item should be shown clearly so the buyer understands the landed-cost estimate.

Important

A freight estimate is not a customs guarantee.

Final charges can change if packing, weight, route, fuel surcharge, inspection, classification or destination handling changes. We confirm available information and coordinate with the selected forwarder.
